Must Read Blog

Read this Blog: You Ain't No Picasso.
I'll keep reading this for a bit but even after a short glance, I think this will get a link on the side. Maybe you want to help out? Let me know if you think it should get b-rolled.
And if nothing else, listen to Jesus and Mary Chain - My Girl. It's hosted by him and may get taken down soon so listen fast.

On a different subject: I saw your comment re "Paradise Now" on Sabbah's blog (which I never comment on anymore, due to the low quality of the comments there): I think you need to see more movies...you've never seen a movie about criminals before? I find that hard to believe. You never saw: The Godfather, Goodfellas, Bonnie and Clyde? They're all classic American films.

May I make a few more suggestions for some things you should do in the future:

1. Meet actual Palestinians. Listen to their point of view. Experience their lives. Being that you live in the neighborhood, you won't even have to pay expensive plane fares.

2. Avoid talking about things you are not familiar with. It makes you look less intelligent.

Paradise Now... I would like to see the film but I still feel that it glorifies murder in a way that should not be praised. It has every right to exist as a film, all art does, but I disagree with glorifying it with awards.

Fear not Elizabeth, I've got a good post for you. And it's in no way grounded in reality so we can all offer our opinion and still look inteligent.

In thinking again, I should not comment until seeing the film. Here is an israeli view on it: Slightly Mad

It's interesting that everyone who has seen "Paradise Now" seems to interpret it differently. The film "Munich" seems to be another that people see through their own prism. It's like people are seeing whatever it is they want to see, rather than the films themselves.
